MEMBERSHIP
Matinée Musicale Cincinnati is a non-profit organization whose members are both active and retired musicians as well as classical music enthusiasts. We share a passion for encouraging musicians of all ages and promoting the love of classical music in the greater Cincinnati area.
If you subscribe to the Matinée Musicale Cincinnati Recital Series, you know the quality of programming this organization offers. But did you know that Membership offers even more opportunities to be part of our effort to encourage classical music performance and enjoyment, while mingling with other music lovers in fun and gratifying activities?
Membership in Matinée Musicale Cincinnati offers the following benefits:

- Member Programs held four times a year - starting with the annual Greenacres Celebration in the spring. Programs are entertaining, informative and include lunch/refreshments and social time!

Become involved in activities that meet your interests; all volunteers are appreciated, whether you help on a regular basis or when your schedule permits. There are a variety of options, from joining a committee to greeting recital patrons to registering or escorting scholarship hopefuls on audition day – and many more. Volunteering is rewarding and fun – meet people, support classical music in our community, be gratified that your contributions are valuable and valued.

PROGRAMS
Each season we enjoy Members Programs featuring musical performances and lunch with our performers and guests. These meetings are in addition to the Recital series. Lunch options must be selected and reserved in advance.
- Wednesday, November 13, 2024 @ 11 am: Immanuel Church, 2551 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, KY 41017
- Monday, December 9, 2024 @ 11 am: Holiday Celebration Luncheon. Music program features Gayna Bassin, violin, & Janelle Gelfand, piano; and Two Tenors, Tony Burdette and Houston Tyrell.
- Wednesday, April 1 2025 @ 11 am: Annual Celebration at Greenacres Arts Center, 8400 Blome Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45243. We celebrated a long-standing tradition in the Spring: a free appreciation luncheon and musical program for our Members and Recital Subscribers at the Greenacres Arts Center in Indian Hill. It featured performances by some of our top 2025 Scholarship Competition winners and a magnificent free catered lunch! We announced our 2025-2026 season then and offered opportunities to buy subscriptions before they are available to the public.
- Saturday, June 7, 2025 @ 4 pm: Home of Lauren Wallace, TBA.
REQUIREMENTS
- In addition to annual dues of $40 (for either individual or couple), each member is required to purchase at least one season subscription to our recital series. Members receive complimentary parking at the Washington Park Garage.
- We will not share your information with any third parties. Membership dues must be received by August 15 in order to be included in our roster.

No, subscribers to the recital series are not automatically members. And while we’re grateful to our subscribers for supporting our recitals, there are also many perks to membership and other opportunities (see above) where you may contribute your ideas and energy.
Yes! It’s true that historically one had to be a musician; there were even auditions! But times have changed. While we are always delighted to welcome performing musicians, all that we require is a love of classical music and an interest in participating in our activities.
Dues are $40 per year for an individual or a couple. Members must also purchase at least one season subscription to the recital series.
