This Matinée Musicale Members Meeting was held at 11am on December 7, 2022, at Faith Presbyterian Church in Mt. Washington. We enjoyed hearing Ella Vaughn, soprano, 1st place winner in the 2022 Nancy F. Walker Scholarship Competition, High School Vocal category, sang 4 songs, accompanied by Toni Sheffer on the piano.

Next, the Southbank Quartet, comprised of Evan Hurley, violin, Carrie Wiseman, violin, Hanna Sargent, viola, and Ellen Stephens, cello, performed a movement from Quartet in C minor, no. 1, opus 9, by Max Bruch, three Danish tunes arranged by the Danish String Quartet, and a clever arrangement of "Rudolf the Red Nosed Raindeer" by Johnny Marks/ arr. Barry Gordon.

Judy Martin, Administrative Director, introduced 3 recipients of our Matinée Musicale Grants program, Cat Dixon, Director of Advancement and Engagement, and Keri McGuire, Director of Cincinnati Choral Academy, and Tony Burdette, President/Artistic Director of Viva Voices Choral Organization. We welcomed new member Brenda Farber and guest Julie Geiman. Finally, we all retired to the Social Room to enjoy our box lunches from Apple Spice Catering.
