*GREENACRES CELEBRATION LUNCHEON

April 10, 2024 at 11:00 am

We celebrate a long-standing tradition in the Spring: a free appreciation luncheon and musical program for our Members and Recital Subscribers at the Greenacres Arts Center in Indian Hill. It will feature performances by some of our top 2024 Scholarship Competition winners and a magnificent catered lunch! We plan to announce our 2024-2025 season then and offer opportunities to buy subscriptions before they are available to the public.

MEMBERSHIP Q+A

Why should I become a member of Matinée Musicale?
  • Because you love classical music and want to be part of a warm and friendly group that shares your interest
  • Because it is the oldest music club in the region and has a prestigious recital series
  • Because you support the mission to encourage young artists who are rising stars in classical music
  • Because you want to participate in the club’s diverse activities:
  • Recitals by both up-and-coming and already established artists, selected worldwide
  • Meet-the-artist receptions and sometimes dinners
  • Artist master classes
  • Member meetings held 3 times a year, where members perform for each other and enjoy lunch and camaraderie
  • Grants committee awards grants to non-profit organizations that encourage music appreciation and participation
  • Scholarship Competition rewards outstanding young performers
Am I already a Matinée Musicale member, since I subscribe to the recital series?

No, subscribers to the recital series are not automatically members. And while we’re grateful to our subscribers for supporting our recitals, there are also many perks to membership and other opportunities (see above) where you may contribute your ideas and energy.

May I join Matinée Musicale even though I'm not a musician?

Yes! It’s true that historically one had to be a musician; there were even auditions! But times have changed. While we are always delighted to welcome performing musicians, all that we require is a love of classical music and an interest in participating in our activities.

What is the cost?

Dues are $40 per year for an individual or a couple. Members must also purchase at least one season subscription to the recital series.

How do I become a member?

Please complete this Membership Form, pay your dues and subscribe to our recitals.
